If I have an Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE whil...

Here’s the scenario:

  1. I have an Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE
  2. I am in a foreign country, or otherwise outside my network
  3. I don’t have my iPhone with me (maybe the battery is dead, or I lost it, or it was stolen)
  4. I am not within range of a Wi-Fi hotspot

 

Would the Emergency SOS feature still be able to broadcast my location and contact emergency services?

The built-in cellular feature on Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) cannot be used when roaming outside your carrier's network coverage area:

 

Emergency services aren’t considered roaming. In many countries, network providers are required to route calls to emergency services regardless the registration status or network affiliation of the device. This is why I’m looking for an answer explicitly with regards to Emergency SOS.
