Unable to remove adware from my MacBook

I think there's an adware installed on my MacBook that's showing me these random ads on YouTube, stopping me from being able to skip ads and also making me unable to open Gmail. I'm not able to identify what's causing this. My OS is up to do date. This problem is in both Safari and Chrome. Please help.
