twincursor process

I will randomly check Activity Monitor to see if there are any processes going wild and I have started to see multiple (and spawning more) occurances of a process called twincursor.  If I kill those processes (sometimes up to ten of them running at once) I experience no ill effects with any application, but I am yet to be able to isolate which application may be generating them.

I have Googled my fingers to the bone and can find no references to this process anywhere.

Any thoughts out there?

What may be generating this process?  If I know this I can hunt down why it is spawning multiple copies.
