how to undo am existing ethernet setup

I am attempting to install aa new internet / wifi modem and router unit. The instructions are calling for me to uninstall the existing network.  how do I accomplish this on my Mac27?

To "uninstall a network" makes little sense, unless you wanted to physically disconnect the various components that comprise a network and put it all away someplace. If that's the case, just do that: disconnect the devices you no longer require.

If all you want to accomplish is to connect to a different wireless network, presumably the one created by your new combination modem / router, simply connect to that network. To learn how to do that please read Mac Basics: Connecting your Mac to the Internet - Apple Support.

Otherwise, provide an excerpt of those instructions and I'll determine if I can decipher them.
