Cannot Start Family Sharing

Hello There,

I'm trying to set-up family sharing, when I try and enable it on my iPhone (on OS11).

I get the error message : "Cannot start family sharing"

"xxx@gmail.com" is already used for shared purchases in XXX's family. Ask xxx to send you an invitation to join family sharing.

xxx = my full name.

my apple ID is the xxx@gmail.com

Appreciate your assistance in advance,

See if going through the disbanding/leaving steps in this article will clear things up.

The only option I have is to "Set Up Family Sharing" - I have no option to leave or anything else of the sort (as I don't have the option "Family"
