stop firevault encryption

I have macbook pro 2012 model and have installed High sierra.

I am troubling with firevault encryption. Once i stated the encryption then how i can stop that encryption.

I have also tired the terminal command "sudo fdesetup disable" but it also not working showing me error that "firevault could not be disabled"

Please help me to stop this encryption.

Hi,

I'm not aware of a way to stop it. It's designed to stop when the Mac shuts down, then start up again when it starts up. I think you're just going to have to wait for it to finish, then turn it off if that's what you want.
