youtube goes blurry on fullscreen with High Sierra

Just upgraded to High Sierra last weekend. Have a MacBook Pro late 2011. Plays youtube videos fine but when I click on full screen, it goes blurry and stays blurry with a message in the middle that says, "click to exit fullscreen." Audio plays fine. A new feature I never saw before, theatre mode, plays fine but not fullscreen. I went through 5 apple support people over 2 days to go from Lion to High Sierra. They were a great help but I hate to go back to them again for this as I feel they went above and beyond on the upgrade. Thank you if someone can assist.
