Date in my MacBook Pro is showing 12 Asadha

I have purchased MacBook Pro MD101 two months back. In the beggining the date was fine. But after wards i don't know what happened to the date. Now it is showing 12 Asadha. I am not able to set the current date & year. Please someone help me

If you go to System Preferences>Date & Time, can you set your clock so that it "sets date and time automatically" from Apple's servers?

From the menu bar, select

           ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Language & Region

Select your region from the Region menu.

Close the preference pane. You may have to log out and log back in for the change to take effect.

If there's no change, reset the PRAM.

Yes The date & time is set to Automatic from Apple Asia (time.asia.apple.com.).  I manually tried to enter the year & date but it is not going beyond 1936

I reseted the PRAM too but no change.

Please post a screenshot of the Language & Region preference pane. Be careful not to include any private information.

Hi, same problem happened for me when I first time working with my macbook

here how I solved it

go to system pref -> lang and region -> change the Calendar to Gregorian

if it is Indian National or something, you will get the problem you have mentioend

It was corrected after I changed the Lang and Region Calendar to Gregorian. The question is why Indian National Calendar is wrong? Is that a Bug left from Apple?

go in system preferences and then date and time , then lang. and region and check whether Gregorian is selected or not in calendar  , if not then select it , it may solve your problem , u must try it .....!
