Can't delete important mailbox in my gmail account

I removed the important and starred folders in gmail and removed markers. I do not see these anymore when using gmail online. However, I cannot remove these mailboxes from my MacBook Air, iPad Mini 4 or iPhone 7. I get an error The operation couldn’t be completed. (MCMailErrorDomain error 1030. When is this going to be fixed? It's annoying.
