After sleep in 10.12.2 bluetooth no longer working

Upgraded to 10.12.2 this week. Since that time after every sleep bluetooth is shut down. After reactivating via system preferences the mouse works just fine. Fortunately there is also a USB-tablet connected, otherwise working would be very hard.

Update: seems to be after a deep sleep. Yesterday had an approx. 1 hours rest and it worked oke.

I have exactly the same problem! It's so annoying, I have to turn off bluetooth and start it again to make my mouse work again.

That's actually not the problem. Our bluetooth devices were working just fine before the update. We are not using it wrong like Apple would like to convince us whenever they make mistake. Apple has released a buggy software update once again.

This is also happening to me since the 10.12.2 update.

Mid-2014 15" rMBP. Bluetooth 'Microsoft Designer' mouse.

Since the 10.12.2 update, when I wake the computer from sleep the chance of the mouse being connected by bluetooth are about 50/50. If it's not connected, I turn the bluetooth off on my laptop and back on, where it finds the mouse immediately. This never happened before this update.

Problem has solved itself over time. No idea what or when happened. For me this issue is resolved.

Good !

a bit late, but if it happens again you may have success with resetting the Bluetooth module:

hold the  Shift+Alt(option)  keys while you click the Bluetoozh icon in the top menu bar:

select "Debug"then select "Reset the Bluetooth module".

This is an almost forgotten (or hidden) built-in trick.

happy computing.

Happens on 10.13. After sleep Bluetooth module can't be turned off or connect anywhere. No matter what bt device is  connected, happens with audio device for me.

Will hang up until restart.

kextunload/load doesn’t help.
Happens in safe mode too.

Happens after sleep/wake up cycle.

If “allow Bluetooth Devices to wake this computer” is checked, then Bluetooth device probably stays powered on and problem doesn’t occurs. Doesn't sound as solution, maybe as a temporary workaround.
