watch is automatically handing off calls

I just purchased the Series 3 Nike+ Apple Watch, my problem is that when I attempt to initiate a call from the watch everything works right until it begins ringing at which point it automatically hands the call off to my phone, how can I fix this? 

Are you on the latest version of WatchOS?
