My mailboxes have disappeared on my MacBook Air...

Hi,

Since installing the Sierra upgrade on my MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2011), all my mailboxes have disappeared (iCloud, gmail and hotmail). Please note that I didn't install the Yosemite or El Capitan upgrades prior to installing Sierra. I also (stupidly) didn't make a backup before the upgrade as I'm travelling and didn't have access.

Also, the "preferences" and "add account" options under the "Mail" tab are now unavailable.

When I try to add an account under Internet Accounts the various mail options are shown but when I try to select any, nothing happens.

Prior to this issue, and before the upgrade, I was consistently have problems connecting to mail and was constantly being told that the server couldn't send mail.

Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Tania

P.S. I'm on Version 10.12.6 (16G29), which doesn't show up as an option for the OS below.
