activity app notification

I am really annoyed with the "Activity" app on the Apple Watch Series 2. I have turned off notifications for the app in the iPhone watch app by going to Notifications > Activity > then making sure all all notifications are off. In addition, I have gone onto my phone itself to Settings > Notifications > Activity > and turned all those off as well.

Every morning, without fail, I get a notification on my watch saying "Keep it going today." What gives?

This is really annoying, but I don't want to go into the iPhone watch app and turn off fitness tracking in the Privacy settings because I have the Pedometer++ app on my watch and like tracking my steps.

Can anyone help? I just don't want to see any reminders, notifications, or anything else from the Activity app on my watch.

The following steps may help (check after each):

• If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone to the latest software:
  • Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

• Check that your Apple Watch and iPhone are connected via Bluetooth:
  • About Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

• Close certain apps and restart both your iPhone and your Apple Watch:
  • Close the Watch app, Activity app and Health app (if open) on your iPhone:
    • Double-click the Home button, then swipe up on each app preview to close the apps.
  • Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first:
    • Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    • Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

• If the issue persists, then it may help to unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch:
  • The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
  • Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
  • If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.
  • Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
  • Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
