My phone is repeatdly every 5 seconds making the noise that it makes when you plug your phone into a charger, my phone keeps beeping every time i try to hook it up to itunes on my macbook... has anyone else had this issue?!

Hey there lilcarusox3,

It sounds like your phone is acting like you are unplugging it and re plugging it when you connect it to your Macbook. Thats an odd issue, lets see what we can do here. I would start by using the USB troubleshooting from the following article for iOS devices:

iOS: Troubleshooting USB-related alerts when syncing

https://support.apple.com/kb/TS5254?viewlocale=en_US

  1. See if the cable connection at the device or computer has come loose or unplugged.
Unplug the cable you're using to connect your iOS device from the USB port on your computer, and then reconnect it. Then unplug it from your iOS device, and reconnect it.
  2. Remove any third-party battery packs or cases from the device and ensure that the USB cable is connected directly to the port on the device.
  3. If your Lightning or 30-pin cable is connected to a keyboard, display or USB hub, try plugging it directly into a USB port on the computer instead.
  4. Close any virtualization apps (such as Parallels or VMWare).
These apps may interfere with your computer's ability to communicate over USB if they aren't properly configured, or up to date. If this resolves the issue, contact the developer of the app to see if an update is available.
  5. Restart your computer.
  6. Restart your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.
  7. If you're using an accessory or third-party cable to connect your device, try using an Apple cable with the device instead.
  8. Update to the latest version of iTunes if you have not already.
  9. Disconnect other USB devices from your computer, except for your keyboard and mouse. Then, reconnect your iOS device. If the issue is resolved, reconnect the other USB devices one at a time. Make sure your iOS device is still recognized by the computer after adding back each device.

If one of these steps resolves the issue, but it comes back later, make sure you haven't changed how the device is connected. For example, check to see if you plugged the device into a specific accessory, or used a specific cable that reintroduced the issue.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Cheers,

Sterling

simple easy answer

1. it oinly happens with Apples 'official' cheap china made most expensive of all rubbish ripoff cable

2. thei iOS updates always try to incorporate refusal to accept completely well made third party cables, and end up messing their own products up too.. greedy attitudes

3. iOs gets worse and worse with every update

4. Apple products, apart from once being the best, are now to me at least, a load of rubbish

It is not an odd issue. Ive been experiencing that on every one of my many iOS devices using official apple chargers and cables for years, usually after the device reaches 80%

its not odd, its a faulty bit of programming from apple, as the cables have nothing wrong with them

My third party cables here in Thailand all work well, and better than the Apple lightning cable, which to be honest, are 50 times more than they are worth, and are very bad quality. usually the cable near the lightning connector becomes faulty after a few months of use, and at the price they charge (up to ten times what the third parties charge), is a total ripoff, for a chinese piece of rubbish
