iTunes & Apple Music

Hello all!

I'm in my evaluation period of Apple Music (AM) and have a question I could not find a proper answer searching the net.

In order to add music from AM to a playlist or whatever else it would ask me to activate iCloud music library. If I do that in iTunes, it would start to upload files. Huh?

Problem is, my library content is way bigger than the iCloud storage and don't intend to pay for more storage just to have the files in a cloud where they don't belong. I don't need to have them available everywhere.

Question: How to use this (later paid) service named AMwithout copying all my library content to the iCloud? I don't want to merge anything in my library with what I will later listen and watch from AM. I also don't see the purpose and the necessity. Two different places.

The basic problem is you cannot manage two different libraries on iTunes. If we could, then I would simply create an empty one to use with AM.

Apple wants you to enable iCloud Music Library so all your music is saved if it is not downloaded on your device. You'll need to enable it to add music to your library. You can after disable it in your settings.
