iCloud Music Library Not Syncing "Last Played"Data

I have been a member of Apple Music for about 1 year.  However, since updating to iOS 11 and Mac High Sierra with my MacBookPro (late 2015 model), my iCloud music library has not been updating properly. . .  My playlists sync from from my MacBookPro to my iPhone 7+ fine.  My problem is that, when I play a song on my iPhone, my computer does register that the song was played, either in the "plays" column or the "last played" column.  Prior to the upgrade of iOS 11/High Sierra, after about 12-24 hours, my MacBookPro would note what songs I played on my iPhone the previous day.  This no long works, no matter how long I wait.

This is important to me, as my smart playlists on my MacBookPro constantly update with different music after a song is played (though I have to manually transfer those news songs to the playlist I primarily use on my phone).

I have tried signing out of the iTunes store on my iPhone.   I have tried logging out/and back into my iCloud account on my phone (a nuisance).  I have tried restarting all my devices.  I have turned off Apple Music on my other devices (iPad).  I have tried the force update my iTunes Music library from the iTunes File menu.  Nothing has worked.

I have not tried signing out of iCloud on my MacBookPro for fear that turning it back on may be a headache.

Any ideas from the community?
