iPad Air Frozen

I gave my iPad a hard reset (holding down the power button and home button down for ten seconds) and it successfully shut down. I powered it on again but it is stuck on the startup screen with the Apple logo--I tried hard resetting it again, same thing happened. It stayed on the same screen for the whole day until the battery was depleted. I turned it on again and it's still stuck. I tried plugging in the USB to my laptop and it could not possibly connect to the laptop (or through iTunes) for me to try to do anything--it asked me to enter my password on my iPad but I can't possibly enter it due to the fact that the screen is stuck. Any suggestions?
