Memory stick to store/play movies?

Can anyone recommend a memory stick or flash drive where I could store movies to view later while on vacation. This would be for an Ipad Air. The idea is I would transfer the movies from a CD to my laptop ... then to the memory stick ... and insert the memory stick into the Ipad.
