Photo watch face: can no longer choose or resiz...

I just upgraded to 4 on my first generation watch. My photo watch face resized itself.

However, when I go to customize it, there is no longer an option to choose a new photo or even resize the existing photo. Anyone else having this problem?

 

It appears you can maybe pick a photo in the watch app from your phone, but the photo file choice is limited (no longer just from your favorites) and needlessly complicated.

To select a different photo, create a new Photo watch face:

 

 

You can either keep your current Photo watch face in the collection on your Apple Watch (in addition to the new one) or remove it, as preferred.

I have several photo watch faces. The issue is that there is no longer an option to choose a new photo from the customize screen. Or to resize.

 

My existing photo faces have defaulted to the full image size. New photo faces default to the first image in my favorites folder.

Under watchOS 4.x, there is no option to resize the photo, but the position of the time can be changed.

 

To select a different photo from your synced album:

 

  • On your Apple Watch, open the Photos app > select a photo to view it > press firmly on the screen and select to create a new Photo watch face.
