Mac mail only showing unread messages?

I'm stumped here. I have multiple gmail accounts in Macmail, and ONE of the accounts is only showing the unread messages in the Inbox. I have no Smart Mailboxes. The Archive for that account shows all messages. How do I restore visiblity to all messages in the Inbox?

Also - what's the point of the Archive if I keep messages on the servers? Is that doubling my mail storage locally?
