Display problems (stretched image)

Hey everyone! I use a mac mini (late 2012) with an acer v203h display (which is more than 8 years old lol) and the problem is that the image on it is almost always stretched horizontally. Sometimes i turn on my computer and see the screen is split, so i have to reboot several times before it gets normal (but still stretched). I've tried a lot of things to do including changing the resolution in system settings to all suggested (about 10), running apps that change resolution (Resolutionator), and even changing some settings on the monitor manually. All of this didn't help . Also I contacted Apple support but they said they couldn't do anything with this situation since my display is non-apple.

Any ideas?
