Macbook Pro Glass broken, but not screen?

So I found my MacBook Pro 2016 with a gaping hole in the bottom of the display. The screen is functioning perfectly but i don't want to leave this hole in the bottom so that it can grow. My question is how much will this cost to fix and how long should it take and since my computer is still under the year warranty, is it covered by AppleCare?
