How do I approve my daughter's app requests if ...

I am the organizer of a family sharing account. I use my gmail address as my apple ID for iTunes because I don't have an iPhone - I'm an android user. I set my daughter up with her own apple ID so that she can use it on her new ipod touch.  When she downloads an app, it gives her a message saying the organizer needs to approve the download, but I (the organizer) don't get an email.  I found the info below, but I don't have any of the devices listed. If I'm with my daughter when she downloads, I can approve them right from her device, but what if I'm not with her?

"With Ask to Buy and Family Sharing, whenever a family member initiates a new purchase or free download, a request is sent to the organizer. The organizer can review the item and make the purchase or decline the request right from their own iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8 and later or Mac with OS X Yosemite and later. For example, this could be a request for items in the iTunes, iBooks, or App Store, In-App Purchases, or iCloud storage."

If you're not with her you won't be able to approve any purchases, you need one of the devices or a Mac to be able to do so.

Seriously? That seems crazy to me.

If you want to leave feedback to Apple about it : https://www.apple.com/feedback/

They want to make you uses their stuff, which I get. What it actually made me do though was buy my daughter an android phone.
