iPad 1 crippling functionality because of no iC...

My iPad 1 is no longer being recognized by iCloud.  When i try to sign in to iCloud the error i receive is "Device Not Supported.  Your Apple ID is valid, but this iPad is not qualified for iCloud."

Before i restored the iPad to factory settings, none of my 3rd-party apps worked.  Only photos and safari worked for Apple apps (well, the videos app would load but NOTHING would play).  I just restored the iPad only to find out that this is still an issue and now I'm worried that my iPad has turned into a paper weight because of iCloud/authentication when it was working 2 days ago (Sunday 10/08/2017).

Even when i go to Apple's support page to try to get some help they want you to select your device but my iPad 1 doesn't show up at all.

Please help.  I'm curious to see if there is anything that I can do to mitigate this issue.
