Does Apple design Macbook Air for One Year life...

Macbook Air completely dead just after a normal usage of 1year & 2months only. Does its quality degrade that much??? or One year is the predictable life i should kept in mind before going for a new Macbook???

The general answer would be: No. So, can you detail exactly what the problem is and/or have you taken it to an Apple Store for a diagnosis?

My 2011 MBA still works just fine. Is it an ideal computer for today Sierra? No but that's mostly due to the lack of upgradeable memory.

Mine Macbook Air was also working quite well and i was totally impressed with its performance. But one night after using it, i flapped it down, while on next day in the mornig i flapped it up, it didn't respond. During diagnosis it was found and suggested that it has a problem with its motherboard & display unit, and it will be cost around more than 50% of the brand new Macbook Air price. So that put me in a bit of a dilemma.
Now even if i buy a new MAC, a question is raised by my mind i.e. "What's the surety of the New Mac quality/life? or It may also stop working just after completion of its warranty period".

The problem with any electronic device is that no one can predict how long any hardware component will last. All hardware will fail - it is just a question of when. I've had an iMac with a bad logic board after 1 1/2 years - however, I always buy the extended Applecare plan which means it is covered for 3 years, so the replacement was free. Personally, I would never buy one without that protection - this way I know that I am good for 3 years.

I completely agree with you for general conditions about the life of electronic goods. But such things cannot be acceptable if we discuss about the world's best company/brand "Apple" which has most advance & best R&D and manufacturing units. I don't want my product to be repaired with such high cost, I just want the cause of failure of my MBA which was absolutely fine just before a night from its failure day.
