Black Screen iPad

My iPad 2 froze and I cannot turn it on no matter what I try. My home button is broken and pressing the lock button to turn it on doesn't work. Holding down the lock button does not come up with the Slide to Power Off option either. There was a brief moment where AssistiveTouch was working but then it stopped and even then I tried to press the home button and it didn't work.
