Sound Effect issues

My nephew messed with the keyboard and now I am having sound effect issues. I have gone through everything is system preferences, but nothing changed. I don't know what he did and now there are sound effects when typing, clicking the mouse and when windows open and close. And the noises almost seem to be in type. Any ideas. I want them all off.
