iphone 7 plus is not being recognized by itunes...

my phone shows up as USB but iTunes is not able to communicate with it I keep trusting in the computer with no luck image capture also is able to see, but again it says the phone needs to be unlocked which it is I have tried all my USB ports and a number of different cables. I have restarted both laptop and iPhone with no additional luck.
