i have been trying to update my payment method but it keeps on declining and telling me i should enter valid payment method information

Follow the instructions here as appropriate, including checking that your address details fully match those on file with your card issuer / bank:
- Pay an unpaid balance in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
- Change or remove your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support
- Payment methods you can use in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support
If your payment method is a bank card, you may also wish to check with your bank, in case it has declined Apple's payment authorisation requests.
If you still need help, contact iTunes Support:

It's doing the same thing to me!!! It's sounding like it's an issue with Apple not us but it's starting to upset me because I have a lot of things attached to it on apple

Follow the same instructions in my previous reply, including contacting iTunes Support if necessary.
This happening to me as well. I can't even find a way to contact Apple. Have you found a solution? Thank you.?
