Should I buy a Mac mini

I used to own a windows xp computer and got rid of it and I have a laptop but I want a Mac mini I have a MacBook but I want to know what Mac mini’s can use OS X 10.8 mountain lion and above 

Early 2009 or newer.

As the last Mac mini was introduced as a late-2014 model, I would delay a new purchase until Apple clarifies whether there will be a new Mac mini introduced near term, or it is discontinuing the Mac mini product line. The only operating system available from Apple to run on the late-2014 Mac mini is macOS Sierra (for a very limited time) before they release macOS High Sierra later this month. The late-2014 Mac mini is also compatible with High Sierra.

On the late-2014 Mac mini, the RAM is not upgradeable after purchase, and unlike earlier Mac mini, it does not support two internal 2.5 inch drives. There is no discrete graphics card, as was available with 2011 and earlier Mac mini. Overall, these are “detuned” machines compared to earlier Mac mini models.
