Will I be able to sign back into my old account

I just got a new iPhone with the carrier Verizon and when I was signing into my apple account something had went wrong and I had to request a recovery for my account and that may take up to days. So in order to use my new phone I had make a new apple account. Whenever they recover my account will I be able to log into it on this same iPhone and everything will still be restored like my photos, apps, contacts, etc?
