downgraded iCloud account how do I get my store...

I downgraded iCloud account from 50 gabs to whatever the free space allowed by Apple...how do I get my stored stuff downloaded to my very slow iMac (need help with that too) macOS Sierra version 10.12.5 Processor 3.06 GHz intel core i3, memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3, Startup Disk Macintosh HD, Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB?  Thanks you.

If you check the applications you listed, isn't the data there?

If you were syncing Document and Desktop with Optimization enabled, copy the files from iCloud Drive to a folder other than Documents and the Desktop. Go to System Preferences/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Options and turn off syncing or if you want to sync, turn off Optimization. Rearrange the files as desired.

The photos should be in your Photos application.

Photos, Contacts, Calendar, reminders, notes, safari, wallet, Game Center, etc.  I want to go from paying for iCloud storage every month to only using what is slotted as free storage.

I waited too late...things really got mixed up with this major change to iOS 11 and me being back in college. I think I'm going to leave it until I get the new iPhone 10 and a bigger backup drive.  Then I'll be back with questions.  Thanks for your help.
