iMac very slow after High Sierra Update

Hello

I recently updated my 2014 Retina iMac 27 to High Sierra and now the machine is just dog slow, when I try and access any websites using the chrome or safari browsers, its just sits there and spins and take forever. I have also noticed some of my apps take forever to load. I just received an update for office 365 so I am hoping this helps with my office apps.

I also noticed my Dr Webb app does not work anymore when I try and do a virus scan on the system, so I figure it might be because of the new file system which should be fixed in a future update. I have also noticed a small weird issue when I try and add an extension .pdf to a pdf file, it doe not let me add it? Anyone have an idea as to when we might see the first major update for this new OS?

Ron

most likey the "virus" scan. I would remove it as the developer recommends. These products are not only useless on OS X; it's very likley causing chaos with OS X which is better suited to dealing with Mac based security issues than 3rd party AV products for mac.

Dr.Mac is another anti-virus product I woud avoid - and if you are running two AV products you are causing a level of chaos that even Microsoft has warned users to avoid on their virus prone OS.

A software title; whether or not sold on the Apple Store; has no guarantee from Apple that it is not without problems or prone to interfere with OS X, and the App store is not without a list of products that Apple sells that have been conclusively found on these forums to cause problems with OS X
