Unsent Message Notifications on Apple Watch 3

Hi,

I'm using an LTE Series 3 Apple Watch (Watch OS 4.0.1) and an iPhone 6 (IOS 11.0.2).

When I send messages (both iMessage and SMS) from Apple Watch, most messages are getting through to the recipient, but I am receiving a notification on the Watch saying the message was Unsent.  This is disconcerting, as now, I don't have any confidence whether my message was delivered successfully.

I went back to the Apple Store, and the guys at the Genius Bar suggested that I Un-Pair and Re-Pair the Watch. I have done this, and the problem still exists.

Is anyone else with this config experiencing the same issue?
