Where did the option to control the music on yo...

Before the latest update, I used to be able to either open my iphone 7 or iwatch series 2 and select exactly which song/album/playlist/artist I wanted to listen to on my AirBuds and at any point in time open either device and select something else, not just back/pause/skip songs.

Now, it seems Apple has given us the ability to select to play music (not your music library actually, but playlists) from the watch itself. OR you can continue playing the music that you have already been listening to through your phone by only being able to back/pause/skip songs.. but you can’t browse through your phone’s music library through your watch anymore it seems. This is quite disappointing!

If you select a measly playlist to play from your watch (you can only select from a playlist, can’t select from simply all Songs anymore because there’s just no room), it seems you can’t even use your phone to control that music playing nor lower/increase the volume from your phone were you to be on it. You also can’t hear any sounds from coming from the apps on your phone while you’re playing music from your watch, such as a game’s sound effects etc.

I’m hoping there will be an upcoming update fixing this, I think the possibility to have playlists on your watch is great for people who want to use their iwatch more independently and don’t care for having access to their complete library on it. But for those who used to be able to enjoy the synergy between the two devices, I don’t think there was an actual necessity to take away from that.

I'm also very frustrated by the removal of this feature. I used it all the time with my iPhone hooked up to a bluetooth speaker; I was able to control the music for my kids.

We can only hope enough people will file complaints/requests to bring it back for Apple to take action. I'm filling out the bug report / feature request here:
