Apple changing cord plugins on iPhone and macs

does owning apple products guarantee that I'll have to throw away and buy new cords multiple times a year? No USB, no HDMI, no headphone plug, new power cord. ***?!

People pay $2,000 - $3,000 for your laptops and $1,000 for your phones. Do you really need to sell a new cord for everything every 6 months?! and make people throw away every cord they own?
