Better live set up.

If I was going to run a live show with tracks and midi, is there a better way to set it up than having all the songs loaded in linear?  I'd love to be able to change the set list on the fly.

For example, Song 1 starts with click/tracks, and multiple midi sends.  Song 1 stops, there's a tempo change, and a marker to note that song 2 is starting, song 2 starts etc.  (I know I can set key commands to markers too)

Just curious if you have had any better ideas than that.  I thought mainstage might be what I want,  but I don't believe it sends midi, and seems cumbersome.

Hi

This might help

I think I've heard of onstage, I wish there were some demo videos on youtube somewhere.

The one thing that I'm not sure if it would do is let song hang over so I can have audio happening the whole time, similar to how a dj would wanna overlap a little bit.  Also, the midi send would change my pedals when I open a new song.

I still might get it just to have it, its not expensive.  Thanks!

Fluqe has a new version out that's pretty good.

1. OnStageX - About $99. on time price.

2. OnStageProX - $79. US per month (I would say ridiculous price)

Although if you want something that works flawlessly, Cakewalk's Sonar is the best solution by far. It comes with a song list feature that's great. very easy to use. Unfortunately it's only on PC. However that's how I use it. I do all my projects in LogicPro X, and then bounce my tracks out, and bring it into Sonar. From there I use Sonar to do all my midi triggering. I don't use any effects in the projects. That way the projects come up immediately. It's great.
