Settings won't save ...

Hi all,

I decided to make some changes in the appearance settings in my MacOsSierra, but for some reason, some of them will revert back to default after closing the  System Preferences window.

Tried many times ... various ways ... but no matter what, it will always go back.

This is the list of the settings that don't work:

- Appearance

- Automatically hide and show the menu bar

- Highlight color

- Sidebar icon size

And there might be some others ... than I'm not aware as of yet...

Any idea?
