when setting up 2 watches series 3 I have 3 pho...

I bought 2 series 3 apple watches. One for myself & one for my wife. when installing the cellular phone through ATT it asks for my account & password. Since I am in a family plan we each have a separate phone number, but the same account and password. does the install use the number on our phones, thus we each use our own number or is it referencing my account number which has 4 different phone numbers on the same account?
