MacBook Pro boots up with green cursor and blac...

I have a MacBook Pro retina Mid 2015. This morning i turned it on and it took very long to boot. Finally i landed at a black screen with a login user image in the center, a green arrow cursor and a typing cursor on top left. There was no password field visible. I reset the SMC but it did not work. I then started it in safe mode and changed my password and restarted my macbook. All went back to normal. Everything good now. I wrote this just in case this helps someone.
