iPod nano cable connection to beats+ speaker

You need a double-ended 3.5mm audio cable, not included with nano or beats.  Took a several minute chat with Apple support to figure this out after trying to use the USB cable, which didn't work....couldn't find this info anywhere on Apple webpages, so hope it helps!
