Hard drive replacement
Hello,
I took my late 2011 15" MacBook Pro to an Apple Store today as I keep getting kernel panics and it would not turn on, go into recovery/safe mode etc.
The guy run diagnostics and the news returned that it was my hard drive! I was told that Apple no longer fix my version of the MacBook as it is classed as vintage (which I think is really poor customer service - why if I'm paying for the parts and the repair they can't do it I'all never understand).
The guy suggested trying a certified Apple repair shop instead (of which there are none anywhere close to where I live) or to replace it myself.
I'm prepared to give it a go replacing it myself, however I have no idea which is the right hard drive to order? Don't want to order the wrong one. If anyone could suggest any that'd be great (I live in the U.K. if that's any help).
Thanks.
