windows 10 creator update

Hi !

I can't update my windows 10 anniversary (build 1607) to Creator build (1701) on my my mac mini 2014.

Update to Creator build it is  impossible with installed video driver, so I uninstall Intell HD Audio & Video drivers.

Then Creators update go to lucky end. But, when I try install fresh Intel drivers, my mac put in BSOD with error:

Stopcode: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

Source: ACPI.sys

Has anyone encountered this error ?

Maybe someone has advice ?

Is hard working on Windows with standard video driver in 800x600 resolution .

Best place to ask:

Microsoft Office Forums:

https://www.msofficeforums.com/office/

I did not know that microsoft supports apple hardware

Apple supports windows through bootcamp so i'm asking here.

If this is not the forum then I'm sorry to bother my head.

Since the apple allows you to install windows 10 on your hardware, it also needs to collect comments if something does not work and not drive questions to microsoft.

You put link to office forum: office is not windows 10 OS, I know for apple user windows 10 and eg. office is this same app but is not true.

Windows is OS and office is App, remember

You are quite right. Sorry about the wrong link - senior moment!

get an install the bootcamp driver once more if you don't have it anymore you can make a new one in bootcamp on the osx side if it's old non official supported mac then you can try using the bootcamp 5 driver those can be downloaded from apples site bootcamp driver zip

but if it does officially support support windows10 then use the bootcamp util in osx those are drivers tested with windows10 the v 5 are win8(.1) drivers

It's helpless - all intel drivers get in my mac into BSDO.

Is it from the intel download page or the bootcap package, it does not matter.

The conclusion is one: updating Creator is not for mac mini.

Have you done as suggested and downloaded the latest

Bootcamp drivers from Apple and re-installed?

Reason I say this I have Creators update running on a early

2011 13" MacbookPro, 2.7 GHz i7 which has HD3000 Intel

GPU.  I even have it installed and running just fine on an early

2009 24" iMac Core2Duo.

So, a 2014 Mini should have no issue.

Yes, I used last bootcamp driver version downloaded direcly from bootcamp assistent app, but with no success.

I think problem is hw mac mini  '14.

Unfortunately, apple sends me to microsoft helpdesk, microsoft to helpdesk apple and helpdesk intel also to helpdesk apple.

So I do not see the hope in solving this problem.

Just the last working compilation of windowws 10 on mac mini is an anniversary 1607.

BTW:It is is new reply from Microsoft forum and I totally agree with it:

"..I have it installed on my 2015 MacBook Pro, but in regards to your Mac Mini, another user reported similar experiences. Apple doesn't seem to be putting much resources into even supporting their native OS on the Mac Mini. .."

well my 2011 iMac which don't even officially support win10 works fine with the org bootcamp windows 8 drivers for the video card in creator update, when ever windows update or the likes try to use a "better" driver I have to stop it though because the times they installed the drivers It's been BSDO ****

I'm glad you are doing creator update on imac but i'm writing about mac mini  - this is another hardware.
Jet is clear that the problem is only with the iris 5100 drivers for mac mini 2014.
So keep up the topic or do not write at all.

How are you doing the Anniversary->Creator update?

Via Update from within Anniversary?

Upgrade tool download?

Upgrade Creators using ISO?

From the what you said, Anniversary worked fine.  This may

or may not be an option, but have you attempted a full clean install?

Yes, I upgrade from A to C via update app in system preference.

But first uninstall without restart intel video drivers.

And no, I don't trying full clear install from iso, because is pointless - problem is in intel drivers, not in windows.

MacOS High Sierra beta 10.13.1 now has support to update to Windows 10 Creator's Update on a BootCamp partition.

I am fairly certain that the final release of 10.13.1 will have this support as well.
