Watch 3 whiteout Iphone

Hi

for Work i Use iPadPro 10,5 and a iMac, i don't have a smartphone  for call i only use a basic phone and i'm very fine. I want to Buy a Watch because sometime i need to check quick my calendar, add some meeting ad some note and i think the watch is for very good for this wy i can't sync whit an iPad??

I think there are a lot of people that want use the watch whit iPad or whit a mac, is possible that Apple make the possible in the future?
