Question about IPSW’s

Is there a way for apple to specially sign an IPSW for one time use so I can revert my ipad 2 back to ios 7? I use my ipad for youtube and web activities and Its getting impossible to use. I don’t have money to go blow on a new ipad lol.

Nope.  Apple has no process for that.

You can however attempt some troubleshooting and see if the iPad responds better:

  1. A Reset may cure some bugs. Hold down the Home and sleep/power buttons until the apple logo shows up.
    • If still not resolved:
  2. Reset all Settings. Go to Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
    • If its still not resolved:
  3. Restore the device as new.

I've done all that haha. No help.. Apple is known for killing off it's devices by deliberately pushing software on it that it can't run; therefore forcing you to get a new one. It's really ******, and they should be called out lmao.

It's unfortunate that they don't allow using older versions of iOS but you are never forced into updating. I am still at iOS 9.3.5 on my iPad mini 4 and iPhone 5s (they both qualify for iOS 11). You have every option to remain at a particular iOS version. The exception is that if the device ever needs to be restored at some point, iOS will be updated to the most current (if it's not already) version that the device qualifies for.
