my iPad continuously beeps when connected to iT...

Hi I have a new iPad (3). it has just started continuously beeping when i connect it to iTunes. it makes the sound like it is connecting then is disconnects again and keeps doing it. I've tried three different cables and it charges OK when plugged into the wall socket. Any ideas would be most welcome. I've tried re-setting the iPad and doing a full restore but to no avail.

Thanks

If you connect it to another USB port on the computer, does it beep? Do you auto sync with iTunes? I'm wondering if it is a problem with iTunes or the computer.

If using a windows computer, go to SERVICES, and RESTART the following:

Bonjour Service

Apple Mobile Device Service

Ipod Service

Then it will work - it happens all the time - easier to do this than re-install etc. It is like it gets stuck in a loop that won't fix itself!

If you're referring to the annoying chime that sounds like "bom-bom-bom!", this is usually used for a download complete, but can glitch and randomly make the sound.  If using Windows, do this:

  1. Click Start then Control Panel
  2. Type Sound into the search box at the top of the Control Panel and press Enter
  3. Click the Sound link from the Control Panel. The Sound properties window launches
  4. Click the Sounds tab
  5. Scroll down the list of available sounds in the iTunes section. There are two sounds associated with iTunes: Complete ("bom-bom-bom!") and Page Load Complete ("wooshk!")
  6. Click the iTunes sound that you want to turn off
  7. Select None from the drop-down box under Sounds. Click Apply
  8. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for each iTunes sound that you want to turn off
