possible Scam message

I received an email from Apple yesterday stating my account had been locked. It instructed me to click on a link and provide all my personal information, social security number, bank and cred card information.  It stated I had only one week to complete this. I did nothing and am contacting Apple to see if it is a scam.

It is a scam, iTunes doesn't send emails like that (and they have no need to know your SSN).
