Ipad Mail: deleting multiple emails

1) There doesn't appear to be a way of disabling Mail, other than deleting the accounts.

2) I have many emails that I want to delete all at once without having to go through each one and mark it for trash.

I've tried marking them as read, and unread, but I can't delete all of them at once.

If you can do this on your computer, where it’s a lot easier to do, IMAP email accounts will sync the deletions across to your iPad.

Thanks, but I have pop not imap email accounts on my computer.
