iTunes can't be installed in my laptop.

i have been using iTunes since last 5 years in my windows 7 laptop which is having 64 bit os and 6 gb of ram.

but recently I was asked to update the iTunes. So i have updated the software with latest version. Thenafter, I can't install that software in my laptop. Installation wizard opens and goes till the end and lastly it displays that programme required for this installation to be completed is not working;contact manufacture.

please help me out. What kind of error it is? Is it happening because i have turned off auto update of my laptop's windows OS?
