how to send pdf file as attachment not on email

When trying to email a pdf to a pc user, my MacBook Pro, using macOS High Sierra version 10.13.1, will not send the pdf as a file, it shows the print in the email body.  I need to send it as a attachment so the pc can translate it.  I've tried to use Text edit, and also exporting as pdf for a new document.

Even though it shows the preview of the PDF in the of the email, it still sends to a PC as an attachment. It was just an Apple function to make it easier to see what you're attaching/sending.

Does that answer the question? If not, let me know!

If for some reason the default attachment is not pleasing to your PC colleague, make sure that you have checked the relevant stuff in the menu Edit > Attachments.  Another thing you can try is to zip the pdf before sending it (control-click on the file and select "Compres..." to make the zip file).
